Goodbye TV Shows. Hello 132GB of free hard drive space.

Last year I finally reached the point of conviction where I
deleted my 40GB+ of music and 200GB+ of movies of which almost all I had no
legal ownership rights. I knew there was something in my life that was damaging
my relationship with Christ—and that was a big part of it. So deleted all my
music and movies that I didn’t legally own! It was an amazing feeling. I still
have many friends that have illegally acquired music on their computer—but rather
than always talking to them about it, I let my actions speak for themselves.
When the moments arose,  there were times
where I would kindly remind them of the fact that I had all legally acquired
music—but it was up to them if they wanted to do anything about it.

Last night, my friend Joseph did the same thing. Although I’m
unsure of all the exact reasoning for this, I’m glad, and proud of him for
doing it. He got rid of all his movies as well.

This got me thinking about all my TV shows that I have
downloaded for awhile (at least a year). I had 132GB of shows—with over 700
episodes of a variety of shows. Originally, when I had been downloading, I felt
it was completely legal, because it was just as if I had recorded it on a VHS
or something. But a couple months ago, I read a thing saying that it’s illegal
to download shows over the internet—if you record them onto your computer via a
TV tuner or whatever, that’s fine. I kept telling myself that it was ok, and
perfectly legal, even though I knew at the same time that it wasn’t. So this
afternoon, I decided to delete all my TV shows. There is one small exception: I’m
keeping the episodes of my current seasons. My plan is to delete them once they
have been released on DVD. This seems to be a quite legit way of doing things.
Do you agree? Please let me know if you think different—seriously.

Now I have 130GB+ of space (out of 870GB) that I can do
whatever I want with! What shall I do, oh what shall I do?
