It was nice to finally start eating full, nutritional meals again Saturday. My health immediately started improving although the occasional runny nose and cough are lingering reminders of the previous week. I started my spring semester in fine fashion by successfully sleeping until noon–thus missing my two classes plus chapel. I never heard my alarm once that morning. I never had this problem last semester, but I didn’t want to chance it happening again, so I dug into my storage and pulled out my super alarm clock which not only is ear/dream piercing, but also shakes the bed until I awaken. It worked as needed Tuesday morning. I successfully made it to both classes and chapel. Tuesday late afternoon was spent mixing sound for the Praise Team during the practice. They will perform Wednesday morning. This will be only my second time doing this. The performance can be somewhat nerve racking because of all that is going on. But this semester is a little easier than last because there are two less vocalists, and we no longer use the digital piano–but did add a bass player. It’s kinda fun now doing A/V stuff because, although I’m doing all the same stuff as last semester, now I’m getting paid for it ![]()
Tomorrow (Wednesday) I’m heading over to Hope Church for the afternoon to do some geeky work over there. Until I get there, I don’t know what I’ll be doing, but presumably computer related.
I can’t really say what classes are going to be my favorite at this point since I haven’t been to two of them yet (oops…teehee). Hermeneutics will most likely be the most demanding class, homework wise, but will spiritually be the most beneficial (obviously–since it’s my only Bible/Religious class). My HTML Developer independent study course will most likely be the most beneficial to me in terms of usefulness. My Intro to Unix class is looking “iffy”. Although I don’t have a lot of experience using Linux, I’m already ahead of the class in knowledge of command line commands, as well as the different interface we use. College Algebra, is well, just that. Although the instructor informed us today that he’s taking somewhat of a different approach this year and is using a new book. He’s doing less Algebra and instead doing a broader overview of math by teaching various methods, including mathematical history. My roommate is in the class as well, and he’s pretty good at math, so I’m sure he’ll be able to assist me whenever I get stuck.
My sleep schedule is pretty much back to normal. I plan on hitting the sack before midnight tonight, even though I don’t have class until 9:20am tomorrow (w00t!). Anyways. Back to the homework.
