I didn’t sleep Thursday night. I went to bed at 7am Friday and got up for class at 9am. I was busy all afternoon and didn’t have time to nap. Then there were winterfest activities all evening. I’m in charge of the snow sculpture so I worked on that a little bit after supper and also during the movie last night. I didn’t work on it as long as I planned because some of us guys went out dumpster diving. I went to bed a little after midnight. I was planning on getting up at 8am to start work on the snow sculpture again, but unfortunately, because of inch of snow we got Friday night, I was awoken at 7:15 and had to go out and start clearing snow. Since the Gator isn’t operable at the moment (all thanks to me), we had to do more shoveling than normal, but at least we did just get our snowblower back yesterday, so that helped. Also since the Gator wasn’t working, spreading salt on the sidewalks was a little more of a challenge. Normally, one person drives while the other person sits in the back of the Gator and drops salt. Instead, today I put the container of salt on a wagon and pulled that around and spread the salt myself. I finally finished at 10am. Immediately following snow crew, Evan, myself and Abby Stark headed out to work on the snow sculpture. We worked until about 11:45 and then we quit because I had to work front desk at noon (which is what I’m doing right now). I work Front Desk until 4pm, after which I plan to take a nap until five. I (and probably Evan) will be going to the 5:30pm church service at Hope tonight. After that there are more winterfest activities all evening. And then I have frontdesk again from 9:30pm-1:00am. I will probably get up about 8:30-9:00am Sunday morning and start working on the snow sculpture again. It has to be completed by 3:00pm Sunday afternoon. As soon as that is done, I have to put together a video for the closing ceremonies containing video footage and still pictures people have taken over the weekend. As soon as all that is over, I’m going straight to bed. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are going to be busy days for me with a lot of Audio/Visual work. It’s Christian Ministry Seminars and we have two “chapel” sessions a day plus seminars all afternoon. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some good rest and relaxation in sometime soon–but I’m not promising myself anything.
