It drives me nuts how slow our internet gets here sometimes. Yes, it’s faster than dial-up, but it’s still patheticly slow–and unfortunately the only thing that Emmaus can do to fix it is to get a different connection. The current single T1 line can’t handle all our traffic. Hopefully this is something they will take care before fall semester.

Anyways, this week has been hectic-o-rama week.

Monday:

I didn’t get to bed till 3:00am, but was able to sleep till 9:00am. Classes all morning, then after lunch I found out that my sister-in-law is pregnant so I’m gonna be an uncle in September-ish (w00t!). I did a bunch of random whateverness all afternoon. After supper I watched Prison Break, 24, and then called my parents and talked to them for awhile.

Tuesday:

I got to bed by 1:00am thinking “it’s ok, I can sleep till 8:30am”. Unfortunately, I was awoken by a phone call from my ever-loving snow crew chief (aka David Crabb) at 7:00am. The snowstorm that was forecasted to hit us Tuesday afternoon decided to make a painfully early arrival. There was at least an inch on the ground, but it was really fluffy so we were able to use leaf-blowers mostly to clear it off.

After lunch, I headed back out to clear more snow. I worked from about 1pm-3pm, then I had to go inside and run the soundboard for the praise team practice until supper. About 9:30pm the snow had finally stopped and we headed out and finished clearing everything.

I ended up working a total of 8.32 hrs on Tuesday–and that’s on top of my normal class schedule.

Wednesday:

I didn’t sleep well Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Basically only a total of 5 hrs of good sleep–the other two were very flaky. I went to classes (as usual) and then after lunch went over to Hope Church for an afternoon of techy stuff.

Wednesday evening I was placed on “Ice Duty” so I went out about 9:30pm and checked all the sidewalks and steps to make sure they were clear of anything that could cause a lawsuit (aka ice).

Thursday:

Got to sleep before 1:00am, but then had to get up at 7:00am to check all the sidewalks again. By Thursday afternoon I was t-i-r-e-d. But rather than taking a nap, I did some homework. After supper I finished up all my homework that was due the next day and ended up going to bed about 9:00pm.

Friday:

I awakened this morning at 9:00am. Yup–another twelve hours of sleep in one night! This is the second time I’ve done this already this semester. I’m not gonna lie–12hrs of sleep on a schoolnight is AWESOME.

Currently, I’m sitting in my room procrastinating on my homework and drinking orange and spice flavored black tea. I’m heading down to the computer lab at 2:30pm to work with my friend Evan on our independent study course. We have to do a project that is due tonight–basically just throwing together a webpage. It shouldn’t really take that long.

My to-do list never seems to get shorter–but I’m going to try hard this weekend to knock off a couple of the big projects on on it.
