Well I Saved One Pair of Shorts…

So, tonight at supper, a girl sitting across from me accidentally spilled her glass of grape juice. It flowed over the table right into my lap. Thankfully, I was able to effectively remove the stain from those. Then, this evening I did a load of laundry. I put it in the dryer and put another load in the washer. About 11pm I go to pull the clothes out of the dryer. I open the door and I see a small spring fall out of the washer. Suddenly, a bad feeling swept over me as I realized that spring was from a pen. I look inside the dryer and see a load of clothes with dalmation spots all over them. All in all, 10 shirts and 3 pairs of shorts are badly spotted with black ink. The rest of the clothes are either boxers, which don’t matter, or dark shirts that don’t show it. Lauren has OxiClean at home, so she took the clothes and will try and get it out tomorrow. I don’t have much hope that it will come out. Unfortunately, those 10 shirts were pretty much every T-Shirt I now own (I got rid of a bunch when I moved out of my apt). They were also all my favorite shirts. Ugh. A new wardrobe may be in order.

Note to Mom: Yes, I remember how you always tell me to check my pockets before putting clothes into the washer. I did check some–but obviously not all. I have officially learned my lesson; at least for now.
