Bite Me

Monday night, I got bit by a spider. It itched a bunch, and then Tuesday I noticed that the little circle had turned into a 1″x2″ swollen mass of red flesh. The medical recommendation was hydro-cortisone cream. You can still see where it was swollen, but the redness and swelling has greatly subsided.

Last night, walking back from the chapel to the office, I had my sandals on. As I was walking, I felt something get in under my foot, then a couple seconds later, a very sharp pain in my foot. I thought it was a woodchip which had gotten in and then a splinter had entered my foot. I limped to the office where I could my put stuff down that I was carrying, then I pulled off my  sandal and discovered a Yellowjacket sitting there with it’s stinger in the bottom of my foot. I don’t know if it’s because it had been sitting there with it’s stinger in me for about a minute, but man that thing hurt. I got some antiseptic for it and then went on with my evening activities. It’s now 11am the next day, and I can still feel a sort of tingling feeling in my foot.
