UpLife
Life has been really, really hectic the past couple weeks. Everyone says they are trying to update their blog, and rarely ever do. The same applies to me. I try, try, and try, but it never seems to work out quite that way. Well, enough with the “apologizing.”
Friday morning I headed out to get myself and Dexter registered as official Texans. First I had to get an inspection for Dexter, so I went over to a Quick-Lube shop and dropped $14 on that. Then I headed over to the DMV office to get a TX Drivers License. Unfortunately, I discovered that I needed my passport of birth certificate in order to get my TX license. So, I called my mom and she will mail those documents to me. I then headed to the Midland County offices to register Dexter in TX. I had to pay $170.80 for that. So, after a morning of not getting the whole process completed, and paying out a large chunk of change, I headed off to my normal job of rescuing people from the horrors of computer problems.
Saturday I went to bed at 1:30am and got up at 1:30pm. It was awesome. I then worked on a virus removal project on a PC. I came home late and then didn’t go to bed till 3:00am–simply because I wasn’t tired. I wasn’t looking forward to having to get up at 9:00am for church with only 6 hours of sleep under my belt, but because of my previous night of 12hrs of sleep, I was just fine when I woke and I still feel great.
Right now I’m sitting in the living room watching Sunday afternoon football. I have a couple projects I’m going to work on this afternoon, but for the most part I’m going to try and just relax and not think about, nor work on, anything work related.
