I’ve joined the Midland Bible Church flag football team. We play in a league with about 60 other teams. The league is sponsored by one of (if not the) largest church in Midland. This is its 7th season and every year, MBC is in the championship game. We had a couple of preseason games last Saturday, and this morning at 9:30am we had our first regular season game. We won 21-0. It was a balmy 40 degrees, but it’s pretty easy to stay warm.

In the preseason games, I pulled in a reception and one interception. Today I dropped both of the balls thrown at me. Argh. Our next game is Tuesday night. We play Saturday mornings, Tuesday/Thursday nights. I’m gonna end up missing the last half of the regular season, and possibly the playoffs/championship because I’ll be up in snowland.

This afternoon at 4pm, I’m going to play Ultimate Frisbee with a group of people I don’t know. My roommate knows some of the people and found a group they have on Facebook for the purpose of organizing Ultimate games. I’m looking forward to it. Should be lots of fun. After the game, heading over to another friends place for a cookout and then watch some college football.

Got to play Halo online with some guys from church last night. That was a blast.

Work keeps going. Computers continue to crash, etc. The Bible and other spiritual studies are going awesome. God is great.

Looking forward to heading to Dallas in a couple more weeks for Thanksgiving.

Prayer needs: I’m already starting to get anxious about May 2009 when my internship comes to a close. I have a deep, deep, deep love for Hickory Cove Bible Camp and the people there, but I’m also seeing God starting to open doors here in Midland. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to decide one way or the other–and that will not be an easy decision for me.

Peace out.
