I’m Pathetic
I know. It’s true. I’m pretty pathetic. I mean, what kind of geek/friend/son/brother/moron/idiot/loser/doofus goes for weeks without posting anything meaningful on his blog?
It seems like a lot of my blog entries start out with some witty (or pathetic) apology as to why I haven’t written in a while. Hmm. I don’t know what it will ever take to fix that—but hopefully something will.
Well anyways, here’s an update on my life: it’s grand. Seriously. I’m continually reminded how blessed I am to be where I am. So many people I know, that are my age, are struggling to find work, or are generally disatisfied with their employement. I, on the other hand, have seemingly the best job I could possibly have. Each and every day, I get to go into work and sit down in front of my beautiful 24” iMac and get to build websites, design graphics, and do IT support for people at MBC (Midland Bible Church) and MCA (Midland Classical Academy). Almost every week day, I get to spend a couple hours under the instruction of godly and wise men who are imparting Biblical truths to me. My living situation is such that I don’t have to worry about anything but feeding myself (although that part can be pretty tough for me). I have a car that just runs and runs. I have awesome friends. I’m in, what I consider to be, one of the best churches in this fallen world.
Last Sunday, I spent the early morning hours (12am-6am) hanging out in the bathroom, throwing up my steak dinner. Then I spend 6am-4pm sleeping. Then I spent 4pm-3am (Monday) not sleeping. Needless to say, it took a few days for my body to get back onto a normal sleep schedule. Then I do my normal Friday night stuff of staying up till 4am-ish playing video games, working, etc and then sleeping till Saturday afternoon. I woke up about 2pm today, showered, got a haircut, played ultimate frisbee, showered, then have been eating/watching a movie until now. After I’m done writing this I’ll do…um…not really sure. I’ll get to bed earlier than 3am though (I hope).
I’m running sound for church tomorrow. After that, it’s all up in the air. I’ll probably be at home though. Then I plan to go to “Revolution”; a college age group at a local Baptist church that meets Sunday nights.
So, there you go. A little summary of what’s been up in my world for now.
I’ll do my best to write more next week. Thanks for reading.
